Each year the NJ State Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs seeks nominations from members and the general public for our awards. 

The awards are:

• The Keith Griffiths Memorial Award is presented to a NJ State Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs member who best exemplifies the dedication and service to the Federation at either the county or state level. This individual must be a federation member.
• The Frank Valgenti Award is presented to an individual who promotes hunting, fishing and trapping in the State of New Jersey. This person does not have to be a Federation member and can be anyone in the public sector or legislative office. 
• The George P. Howard Conservation Award is presented to an individual who has shown, by example, ways in which he or she has helped conserve the natural resources of New Jersey by promoting the wise use of those resources. 
• The Jeannette A. Vreeland Award is presented to a woman, who has achieved significant results toward conservation, wildlife management and/or the enhancement of hunting, fishing and trapping in the State of New Jersey.

For the 2023 Convention, the NJSFSC decided on three new award categories to honor our volunteers.  Those categories are described below.

• The Outstanding Supporting Family Member Award is presented to the best supporting family member of a NJSFSC member, who has supported either directly or indirectly their significant other to help in advancing / excelling Federation beliefs and polices, even at the cost of personal and/or family time.  This award recipient does not have to be a Federation member.
• The Regional President's Award is presented to a person, group, or company whose material contribution(s) stood out, providing exceptional support for their Region. There will be at least one recipient from each of the three (3) regions. Award recipient does not have to be a member of the Federation. One award recipient is nominated by each of the Region Presidents Only.
• The NJSFSC President's Award is presented to a NJSFSC Member, who best exemplifies the dedication and service to the NJSFSC, promotes selfless involvement to the NJSFSC, promotes the worth of the NJSFSC by volunteering in the NJSFSC Organization, at any level. This award recipient must be a NJSFSC Member for at least the past five (5) consecutive years. This award recipient is nominated by the NJSFSC President only. 

Nominations will be accepted from June to December each year for the upcoming NJSFSC Annual Convention.

The awards will be handed out to the winners during the NJSFSC Annual Convention.
